Our homemade mince pies are unique because we make our own mincemeat. Early in the year we mix the very best currants, raisins, sultanas, apples, oranges and lemons together with brandy and spices to make our unique mincemeat. We then store it for several months so that it gently matures and allows the succulent flavour to develop.
We believe we are the only bakers in Barnet to make their own mincemeat. Most bakers and supermarkets prefer to use bought in sickly goo which has to be sloppy enough to go through depositing machinery .
