I know, I know, who wants to think of Christmas before you’ve even had your summer hols?

                                                 

But we have to be thinking and planning ahead so that our delicious Christmas Puddings reach your festive table in prime condition. The currants, sultanas & raisins have been steeped in Colleys Dog ale from Tring Brewery and 54% Rum before been mixed with oranges, lemons, spices and the rest. The puddings have been cooked and wrapped and are now slowly maturing so that they will be truly scrumptious by Christmas.

As usual they will be available in 5 sizes: 200g, 400g, 800g, 1200g & 1600g. We allow about 100g per portion, so a 400g pudding will serve 4 people etc. You can always come back for seconds!

Along with the puddings our own homemade mincemeat is maturing as well. Very few bakers make their own mincemeat, prefering to buy in that sweet sickly stuff that purports to be the real thing. Like our puddings our mincemeat is made with suculent fruits but this time steeped in French Brandy and left to mature for several months. Thats what makes our homemade mince pies so special!
